TURNKEY MEDIA CENTER

This huge complex is one of the biggest media centers in the world. The challenge was to integrate systems and set new standards in control, orchestration and delivery. This included unique features such as the world’s largest permanent external LED video walls.

OLYMPIC COMPLEX TECHNOLOGIES

Built on an area of 1.466.400 sqm in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan, the new Olympic Complex with its high-tech facilities will play host to the 2017 Asian indoor and Martial Art Games (AIMAG). Started in 2010 and designed in 3 phases, the project is aiming for completion in 2016. Major structures planned within the first phase of the project were completed on a 679,269 sqm area of the grounds in April 2014.

THE AKFA SOLUTION

The Olympic village is expected to have a significant position in the world sports community and the Central Asian sports community. Ashgabat had been awarded the Asian indoor and Martial Arts Games in 2017 and this has now become the key focus of the project.

Akfa Global provided broadcast and broadcast IT systems for the Ashgabat Olympic Complex including complete systems for the indoor velodrome, training halls, indoor arenas and other venues. “Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar” (ICEC) is located at the point where the worlds of business, culture and art meet. This venue has been rendering services to its guests since 1996 with an experienced staff and up-to-date technological infrastructure. “Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar” in the heart of the Congress Valley, has the capacity to host all kinds of organizations from conventions to fairs, concerts and exhibitions within its
sunlit halls and stunning views overlooking the Bosphorus.

THE AKFA SOLUTION

ICEC was launched on the 17th October, 2009 assuming the mantle as the largest and newest convention center in Europe. ICEC hosted its first large-scale gathering with the World Bank Group and IMF Annual Meetings on the 6th and 7th October, 2009. AKFA Technology has designed, delivered and installed all broadcast infrastructure and systems within the guidelines and demanding specifications of the state TRT consultancy.

As the router is the heart of the broadcast structure, our new heart can not only supply video and audio signals but much, much more.

NRT TV is one of the biggest news stations in Iraq. NRT TV is broadcast live from the Iraq Kurdistan Local Government Management area in Suleymaniyah City. NRT TV is a multilingual channel that is being simultaneously broadcast in Kurdish, Arabic and English. NRT TV also
boasts a large global news network with editorial offices in key regions.

THE AKFA SOLUTION

NRT TV partnered with Akfa Global on their initial launch and chose us again as a turnkey solution supplier for their HD transformation. We not only supplied the automation and NRCS systems for NRT HD but also supplied all the compatible HD broadcasting equipment. We furbished all the equipment for two studios used primarily for daily programs and talk shows as well as equipping a third dedicated news broadcast studio. The audio and video monitors, mixers, intercom systems, studio cameras and automation software for two MCRs and a PCR were installed and integrated by AKFA specialists. Dalet software combined with MAM Systems has added up to powerful automation solutions for NRT TV.

Akfa Global finalized the installation and commissioning of the system according to a plan laid out by both sides at the beginning of the project. When NRT HD went live on-air before the agreed deadline and without a hitch, our customer was more than impressed. The timely and professional work by AKFA Teknoloji facilitated the first broadcast of NRT HD from 20 different locations worldwide beating all deadlines crucial to the launch of the new channel.

Akfa Global successfully signed on to one of the largest data virtualization projects in Turkey in 2014. The public E-Procurement platform went online using systems provided exclusively by AKFA.

THE AKFA SOLUTION

39 physical servers and disk storage units with 2100 disks spread over 12 cabinets were installed at two different locales of the Public Procurement Agency (KIK).

All the databases, virtualization systems, backup and e-mail systems for the Public E-Procurement Platform were transferred and integrated to use the new storage units.

Servers used in the old database system were moved to next generation processor servers having 1TB of memory (Dell) to provide higher speeds and greater flexibility in transactions.

The new data storage systems (Dell Compellent) and the existing storage systems (HP) were virtualized by an IBM SVC and were then managed from a single point via tier SAN architecture.
